Humpbacks Feeding
Humpbacks are a baleen whale, meaning they don't have teeth. They have baleen plates over 200 that hang from the roof of their mouth and it looks like a course broom at the end. The baleen strains out the food they eat (sardines, anchovies, herring, even krill and other fish.) They gulp large amounts of water and the fish and water rush in and the whale pushes the water out with its tongue and its let with the fish.
